Year 3
As school is unusually closed for the foreseeable future we want to assure you that we are here for you during this time. We will continue to be available (through email) for you during normal school working hours, to assist with any home learning questions, ideas or general advise. The well being of parents/grandparents/carers and your child(ren) during this time is priority and we can work together with you in the weeks ahead. Your child(ren) may be apprehensive about what it happening and feel quite unsettled. This is naturally expected - talk to them, listen and give them a hug.
We have already sent home learning packs to get you and your children started, and will be adding suggested work ideas on the home learning tab below (if your child is struggling with any part of the curriculum, please look at previous years home learning, as you may find alternate ideas for them to try).
As an addition to these activities please make use of our online learning platforms (Sumdog, TT Rockstars, Numbots, Spelling Shed and Abacus maths). If you have misplaced your child’s login for any of these sites or have difficulty accessing them, again please contact us using the Teacher Contact Facility.
This is new territory for all of us, but we shall try to support you and your child as much as we can. We cannot stress the importance of staying in touch with each other through social media, messages, facetime as this is so important to everyone's well being. Please remember that social distancing does not mean to arrange play dates and all meet at the park - the more we can keep to the rules of social distancing the sooner we can all be back together.
Please reassure yourselves that whatever you do with your child will be just fine - you don't have to be cramming every second of every day with activities - you will wear yourself out and you need to take care of yourself too.
