Early Years Daily Routines

Reception Daily Routines 

This is the daily routine of Reception at Sir Francis Hill Primary School, but every day can be different and exciting.

School Gate Opens / Morning Activities

  • Parents/Carers walk their child to the drop off point at the classroom door and are met by a member of staff
  • Parents / Carer say goodbye and leave via the school gates
  • Children then independently carry their book bag and water bottle into school.
  • Children complete the class self-register
  • Children start to complete the morning activities in the classroom

Reception Snack Time

The children have access to the Snack Area during Child Initiated Learning time. Snack available includes: -

  • Fresh milk / Water
  • Selection of fruit and vegetable
  • Celebration / topic related foods (e.g. Pancakes / Christmas cake)
