Week 17 - 13th July

To all our lovely Reception families.

 

We are now at our last week of term! Whether it has been a long haul for you guys or a breeze, I think everyone can agree that these last few months have been strange for everyone, particularly for the children.

 

As adults, we understand the changes that happen and why they are necessary; for our young learners, they have adapted their days as best they can. 

 

We could not be prouder of how every single one of our classes has taken on the challenge of lockdown and continued to be their best selves.

 

For this reason, we are not sending out Home Learning Challenges this week. We would like to encourage our children to have a huge week of fun and enjoy their last days as Reception children. In school we will be looking back over the year, thinking ahead to our summer holidays and discussing their new year 1 classes. As we cannot do transition this year, we are having lots of discussions in our bubbles about what might change in September and what they are looking forward to in their new classes. If you would like some suggestions, there is an idea web on our class page on the website. Please feel free to use your own ideas and use this week to have fun with your child.

 

As stated on a previous email, Tapestry will no longer be updated as it is ready for you to download. Please do not try to upload anything onto Tapestry as it is now locked.

 

This is not a farewell yet, but the start of one last great week in Reception!
