E-Safety
___________________________________________________________________________________________
The emphasis on E-safety in the new Computing curriculum aims to ensure that all pupils are responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology.
At Key Stage 1, pupils should be taught to:-
- use technology safely and respectfully, keeping personal information private; identify where to go for help and support when they have concerns about content or contact on the internet or other online technologies.
At Key Stage 2, pupils should be taught to:-
- use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly; recognise acceptable/unacceptable behaviour; identify a range of ways to report concerns about content and contact.
At Sir Francis Hill we are committed to promoting e-Safety by raising awareness of the issues surrounding the use of the internet and mobile technology. Within Computing lessons, we use a variety of online resources to teach pupils about e-Safety. These resources are freely available on the internet and can be accessed by clicking the links below. Please share them with your children and help us to help your child by discussing internet rules and how to keep themselves safe online.
